The days are getting shorter as the shadows get longer, and Halloween is just around the corner. Whether you love a good scare or want to take your kids out for a treat, check out these 5 events near Saukville for a spooky fun Halloween!
If you enjoy exercising in the outdoors, then you’ll love this 5K Halloween run/walk. This year, it’s raising money for the Elementary School Free Breakfast Program. A pumpkin pancake breakfast will be waiting for you after you cross the finish line. If you’re not a big runner, then dress up in your favorite costume and cheer your friends on. You can enter the costume contest and eat some pancakes.
Go for a walk in this authentic haunted house. Hosted by the 4-H club and staffed by local volunteers, you can wander through foggy halls crawling with creepy characters.
Take this 2-hour ghost tour in Port Washington. You’ll wander around historic districts downtown and walk through Union cemetery. Or, if you’re feeling particularly brave, you can also hunt ghosts with paranormal investigators.
For a fun, educational Halloween, dress your kids up and go on this 1-mile hike. Chat with “woodland creatures” who will educate you about themselves along the way, stop by the bonfire, and grab some cider and snacks. There is also a tree climbing event from 4:30–7:30 for kids 7 and up.
For a Halloween walk geared toward adults, take this tour of Cedarburg’s haunted historic buildings. Chat with ghosts along the way and pick up some advise about death and the afterlife.
